Within a month from my previous trip, I embarked on a slightly longer trip this time, with a focus on places outside of Seoul. This short journey really reminded me of how big Korea was, and how much more I still have yet to explore.
양주 나리공원 Yangju Nari Park
This place was really quite a travel from Seoul - it’s not far enough to take the ktx, but it takes over an hour journey on the normal subway! After reaching Yangju station, you will still have to take a bus (roughly 20mins) but it is really worth the distance. I would suggest coming in September where the flower blooming is at it’s peak, as I went in October and the colours were much dimmer already. Nevertheless, it is truly a magnificent sight to be surrounded by numerous fields of beautiful flowers.

내장산 Naejangsan
It was my first experience going to a mountain in Korea (due to my fear of heights I never thought of visiting any) and one of the reasons why we chose this one was because there were cable cars to go to the peak and the trek inside is also relatively manageable! However, before we descended, I noticed a side path near the peak leading to a temple, and this is a warning for any one who is curious like me and took that path. It is very challenging (my legs were shaking all the way and there were some parts where I had to crawl), but nevertheless, a new experience! Sadly, it was only the start of Autumn so the trees were still mostly green, but have seen photos on how pretty it is during the peak!

전주 (전주 한옥마을) Jeonju (Jeonju Hanok Village)
My second trip to Jeonju and apologies for the lack of photos but I think I was too busy just immersing myself in the atmosphere of the long streets filled with dainty little shops selling things ranging from various yummy snacks and little trinkets. My advice is to go to Jeonju on an empty stomach (I, as usual was not in top notch condition so I couldn’t eat much) as there are countless of food items you should try and I’m not even kidding. It goes to say that you should definitely try what their famous for, bibimbap (oh glorious, glorious bibimbap) but there is a whole list of other things that you should definitely try such as - dumplings, meatballs/chicken on a stick, homemade chocolate pie, rice wine, and much more!
If you have time on your trip, do not hesitate to drop by Jeonju for a day trip! It’s not too far from Seoul and you can take either a train/bus down.

Blute Cafe
This isn’t really a particular landmark/destination but it’s worth mentioning! My friend wanted to bring me to a cafe she found on her previous trip that she really loved, and as I love flower/nature cafes, I knew I had to come take a look for myself. The cafe was much bigger than I expected (it literally is like on its own in an alleyway), with a huge outdoor area on top of their indoor seating. You will be hit by the scent of dried flowers the moment you step in and the long tables and spread our seating makes me wonder why I did not discover this place when I was studying in Seoul.
The drinks are on the pricier side like most cafes but they all taste super fresh and come in big portions. Another cute point of this cafe would be the fact that they have a small hut outside filled with props that you can use to take photos with.

Vixx Night Live 171021
I would be lying if I said that this wasn’t the highlight/main reason for my trip to Seoul (again) but I always try to make sure I squeeze in some traveling alongside fangirling!
My 3rd time attending their concert/fanmeet in Korea and words cannot describe how amazing it feels each time. The nervousness and excitement feeling never dies down despite the numerous times I have seen them. Nevertheless, this was my first time going to their fanmeet instead of a concert and I didn’t know what to expect. But once again, they managed to exceed my expectations - and even though I died in the mosh pit, it was a great 4 hours spent with them. These boys truly know how to have time among themselves as well as keep the fans entertained every single second, and I’m so grateful for each chance I get to see them up close.
