As a graduation gift to myself, I went to Seoul for two weeks. The bulk of my trip was spent going to concerts and chasing idols, but I managed to squeeze in some time to explore my favourite country.
컨토이너 (Contoyner Cafe)
Cafe hopping is a hobby of mine that I indulge in once in a while back at home, and how could I resist not visiting the numerous cafes in Seoul? Cafes in Seoul focus a lot on their aesthetics, both interior and exterior, knowing that customers come to cafes not only to have a drink and relax, but also to take photos. On the first level, there are toy machines and figurines, and it’s where you order your drinks and food. Take the stairs up, and it’ll lead you to a rooftop terrace where they decorated and placed props for people to take mini photoshoots. The drinks were not bad too!

쉑쉑버거 (Shake Shack, Gangnam)
Shake Shack opened their first store in Korea, Gangnam a few months ago, and I just had to join in the craze. The queue was crazy - we had to queue for an hour just to get in and wait approximately another thirty minutes for our food to be done. Nevertheless, it was super worthwhile as the food was truly up to standard. The burger was big and juicy, and the fries were thick and non-greasy.

마포대교 (Mapo Bridge)
This bridge has made it into my list of ‘places I love most in Seoul’. Walking along the bridge with the evening breeze in my hair, is an experience I wish I could relive over and over again. The bridge is filled with quotes and short stories, making the walk both interesting yet very meaningful as well. The view of the hangang river, with the sunset in the background is an image I will never forget.

강촌레일파크 (Gangchon Rail Park)
My friend I decided to finally have our virgin rail bike experience, and all I can say is why was it so short!!!! It is a enjoyable journey as you bicker with your friend, admire the view, and laugh whenever you have to brake urgently. Sadly, it ended way too quickly. I’m sure it will be a totally new experience going in different seasons and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to explore all the other rail bikes in Korea!
